The Rotary Club of Pomona invites you to be an integral part of the 6th Annual Art Auction Fundraiser. This is the second year in a row that the auction will support wounded soldiers and their families, with proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Fund at Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation.
Many of the brave men and women of our armed forces have endured the perils of war and returned home with grievous injuries. While they are no longer on the battlefield, they face new and greater struggles, living without the ability to do many of the physical tasks most of us take for granted. Even after rehabilitation, families face new challenges: How does the soldier reconnect with his family? Casa Colina assists wounded warriors with all of these types of war-related issues.
You, as a community leader, can help. We are first asking that you to attend the event. Second, we are asking you to consider participating as a sponsor. Sponsorship levels and benefits are included in an insert accompanying this letter.
While the purpose of the Wounded Warrior Art Auction is to raise funds to benefit these wounded soldiers and their families, we would be remiss if we did not also note that the auction in and of itself is an exciting and rewarding event, growing in size and stature with each passing year. This year’s auction will follow a “Great Gatsby” theme, inviting attendees to dress in 1920s and ‘30s styles.
The Wounded Warrior Art Auction will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 9 at the Fox Theater in Pomona. Single event tickets are $100. Attendees holding VIP passes will be part of a reception starting at 5 p.m. on the Fox Theater’s second-story deck.

Sincerely,
Captain Richard Todd (Rick)
